Forestry Field Trip
8:00 AM – 3:15 PM – Bus leaves from outside the Christopher Conference Center promptly at 8:00 AM.
Please bring your own hardhat, eye protection, high-visibility vest, hearing protection, and work boots.
The Field Trip will include a drive-through tour of Glatfelter’s Chillicothe, Ohio pulp mill woodyard and fuel co-op station; Ohio Valley Stave Mill in Waverly; Glatfelter’s log merchandising yard in Piketon; and Speyside Bourbon Cooperage facility in Jackson County. Lunch (sponsored by Glatfelter) is included.
Continuing Education Credits
FRA is applying to the Society of American Foresters to assign Continuing Forestry Education (CFE) credits for Wednesday’s General Session and Thursday’s Forestry Field Trip. CFE contact hour notice forms will be provided at the meeting.
Dress
Dress for all the indoor meeting functions, including the Awards Dinner, is “forestry business casual” (slacks and sports shirts).
For the Forestry Field Trip, please bring your own hardhat, eye protection, high-visibility vest, hearing protection, and work boots, if possible.
